I have to disagree with you, Jim. Florida law states that the vote shall be certified by 5pm, 7 days after the election. Though I'm sure Gore supporters would like some discretion, the law allows for none. Unless of course, one doesn't think the law should apply.

All votes were counted....twice. Some were just not tallied for either candidate because they were voted improperly. What do you do with a ballot with 2 holes punched for President? Hopefully, it would get thrown out.
