LET"S GET A GRIP HERE PEOPLE,
The porch is starting to lose it a bit here folks. This is not quite the way we handled the downturn back in the spring. We were a bit more supportive and we need to get back to that.
Keith, in everyone's defense, I can understand why porchers are getting a little tight in the shorts. While I won't go so low as to rank you with the Bonster, your posts are too remindful of what we already know. All of our portfolios are being hit here and your constant reminders of what is happening and your reactions, do get under a lot of people's skin.
What we need to see is people posting what they are doing to deal with this in a positive manner. I had to be reminded of this on the G&K just yesterday. Merlin there, had the best suggestion. If you believe in the companies you are invested in, then stop the day to day watching. Spend time with the family, go to the movies, read a good book are all better ideas than watching the stocks all day long and bemoaning the losses. If you are comfortable with the companies you are invested in, then reevaluate and go elsewhere with your investments.
Please don't look at this as an attack on you personally, but step back and look at the big picture with an open mind and I believe you will see where we are coming from. In times like this, we need positives to key on, not reminders of the negative.
I hope you take this in the spirit it is meant. Hang tough, Joel |
