Oh please. How on earth can you compare FDR to that group and especially GWB? That is just ridiculous. FDR was a driven man. Driven to overcome his disabilities and committed to the idea that to whom much is given, much is expected. And he delivered.

GWB has wandered in the desert of self absorption far too long to be able to render such a verdict about him. His life of aimless privilege doesn't show the kind of timber from even the same forest as FDR.

Is GWB as good as Reagan? Who knows? I think Reagan succeeded likely as much from his acting abilities as anything else. His personal life looks hardly exemplary to me. Look at the testimony of his children and ex-wife. The book is still open as far as I am concerned on his accomplishments.
