daryll, I live in California and last Tuesday night -after I had voted but before my wife had a chance to- the networks announced that GORE had won Florida. I told my wife it was all over for BUSH (both of us were voting for BUSH. GORE had also been "declared" a winner in Pennsylvania and Michigan by that time). My wife just about gave up on voting but I told her she would feel better if she did and she went. I am sure a lot of people not only in CA but elsewhere just gave up voting for BUSH on that "news".
