Gore will prevail in the request for an extention--which is different than the 72-hour period of a request for a handcount--because in the granting of the handcount, so must also exist a reasonable length of time for so that the candidate can exercise his right. You can't say you and do a handcount and not provide sufficient time to do one. This is what a state court will rule, in my humble opinion.

Bush, meanwhile, let expire his right to request a handcount. That right must be exercised within the 72 hours immediately after the closing of the poll.
