Cax - there is a string of lawsuits out there. Most are fishing expeditions. I haven't seen anyone trying to throw Nokia's W-CDMA claims out yet - that's what would mean a genuine setback for Nokia's IPR position. Any company disputing Nokia's W-CDMA claims would have to achieve it in a court of law. That has little relevance on Qualcomm's IPR fees - but a lot of relevance to Nokia's net IPR payment balance.

And about these radiation levels: has anyone thought of a single mobile data application which would demand that the end-user keeps the mobile phone against his/her head? Those mobile data applications I have seen are visual in nature. So the phone user keeps the handset about 40 centimeters in front of his/her face. SAR drops kind of steeply at that distance.

Assuming that people will read stock charts with their ears is kind of hokey.
