Bush will have to delegate pretty much all activities requiring cognition or even reading, I fear. Big pictures are constituted by myriad small ones synthesized and analyzed, unless they are mere fantasies or delusions.

I do look forward, in many ways, to his stage-managed presidency, and to the campaign in 2004, too.

I wonder how many opportunities he will be given to show off his manifest mental acuity in spontaneous exchanges in the next four years? He doesn't WANT them, as witness his terror when they occur. He is so happy to be able to talk to the dog, poor man.
