Zeev:

Your getting quite one sided on this. I know your dislike for Bush from HEC but your misrepresenting the picture here or at best only showing one side.

For those of you that would like to register objection with interference in the counting of votes in Florida you could try here: I object to Al Gore only requesing it in 4 counties, if he really wanted to know the will of the people he would have requested it accross the whole state

So your position is your in favor of only manual counting in the 4 heavily democratic counties. It sound like your in agreement with Al Gores statment where he wants an fair count, of course fair by his standards. If he wanted a fair count he would have wanted it in all counties.

1st the Democrats issued the first lawsuit (don't tell me those 8 voters would have done it without strong support, your not that naive).
2nd they legally out did Bush in requesting the manual recount and Bush missed the deadline. Geeze I guess we should have all the canidates who won ask for recounts. Kind of hard for Bush to request it while he's in the lead.
3rd it looks like the Republicans are posturing to be able to do the recount. If the Democrats win in being able to continue the recount it means the Republicans will be able to win in opening up the recount. It would be difficult for the state court to rule for one and not the other. Hey isn't this what Gore really said in his speech today? He shouldn't have a problem with it.
4th From Gores speech he still wants the 19,000 thrown out ballots. People have to take responsibility for their actions. If you think they don't go revisit your original issue with Bush on HEC. Tell me what I'm missing. If you forgive them their stupidity and incompetence and you can't Bush (a Yale degree doesn't make him any more intelligent) you must have really lost a bundle in HEC.
5th Yes the Sec. of State is a Republican and Bush supporter. Don't give her credit for letting the Gore camp know in advance her decision so they would have time to protest in court if need be. Just critize her for making a decision that follows the law.
6th Don't mention the 4 districts voting boards requested by the Gore campaign to manually recount are run by Democrats. Don't mention the precincts sampled over the weekend were the most heavily democratic in Palm Beach. T Remember its easy to skwer the facts to fit the situation.
7th Why are we hearing the will of the people ie popular vote winner. Hey Gore knew he needed the electorial college. Oh right it doesn't fit his facts yet .
8th Don Imus had it right this am when he questioned a reported covering the Gore campaign (Claire Shipman) regarding the touch football. Yeah the family tradition too bad its the first time she's seen it.

There are two sides to every story and if you think Gore will be a better president than Bush fine, thats what makes our Democracy. Just give both sides. I though you were smart enough to realize you can't believe either side (Kerry or not) when they are spinning the facts to fit their position.

Just remember if we are seeing our next leader now in Gore(he's as phony as they come). There was a time our country didn't pick phony's. I'm not saying Bush is better but he sure seems to be the better of the two (at least he's shown the ability to govern from the center you know Gore will start from the left).

Enough ranting on this thread but your getting carried away here. Is it a coincidene the market fell back after Gores speech? Hey I like their timing before the market closes.

I also didn't know this was a political thread. Especially during market hours
