Poet, you seem to be announcing the death of the secular bull. Some are even claiming that we're already in a bear market. But if you look at the broader index, the s&p500, it is volatile but only down single digits ytd, hardly indicative of a market crash. May I suggest that what we have witnessed with the nasdaq is merely a massive but temporary sector rotation, which history shows can correct in an unexpectedly short timeframe. The political uncertainty you point to will be measured in terms of weeks, and while that is of great importance to options traders such as yourself, it is not threatening to those with longer term investment windows. Your cautionary comments are valid, but they apply primarily to those who traffic in short term options and/or try to gain leverage though the use of margin. These folks are extremely vulnerable to even short term downtrends. But that's an ever present risk in both bull and bear markets. jmho, uf
