Paul Senior, EK is a big reason that SanDisk is here today at all. Just think if no OEM wanted CompactFlash in their digital camera line? Remember that the other CFA founders were promoting the CF slot for non-flash applications primarily for handheld devices. While these devices have met with some limited success they have not set the world on fire either. The way Palm and Handspring have walked away with the PDA market is just one clear example of how tough it is to create a new standard from scratch Kodak's endorsement of CF was a major event back in the mid-90's and it gave SanDisk legitimacy at a time when several alternative standards existed. I have tried to be loyal to Kodak and bought a DC 280 for my sister-in-law for Christmas this year. I also bought a leather CF carrying case for me... kodak.com Ausdauer@thank_goodness_for_Kodak.com
