What this entire matter underscores is the ultimate absurdity of the American Populace. The sight of sweating bureaucrats taking themselves so seriously while explaining the ins and outs of "Hanging Chads" on CNN is more hilarous than any Saturday Night Live skit could have put together. Why haven't we heard from the Pitilessly Politically Correct faction in outrage at the use of the term "Pregnant Chad?" Not to mention the morons who can't figure out in hindsight how to punch a hole in a Chad. The electoral process by definition includes a margin for human and/or machine error, which is represented on a national basis since the populace always tends to define itself by it's Least Common Denominator. How many people simply forgot to pull the lever in "foolproof" voting machine booths, for that matter? The Gore campaign's attempt to subvert the Greater Fool Theory by skewing the results in selected counties after TWO legal recounts is absurd, laughable and tragic. Gore certainly is the representative of the People.
