re: It seems you're looking for a numerical formula to predict great investments,

Wrong. I'm looking for over valued sectors and stocks that are growing at greater then market averages that will or have sold down so I can buy them at a value that I deem appropriate. By the way there is no magic formula, the market has the final say.

re: What stage are you at?

I said we were entering a bear market (NAZ) in March of this year. I also said at that time we where leaving an era that will not be seen in a long long time. In fact the Last few years could of been a market of a life time. You will have to find bp to verify that, we both had a long back and forth on my thinking at the time. As far as what is happening with the market now, it is leaving or has left the demoralization stage of bear market (naz) is now well into the panic stage (which I'm very happy about). I'm not at any stage really. I'm just following how I believe the market is moving using my past 25 years of watching the markets and making plans of action to be ready when the time comes to put funds to work. I have already started do just that with select silver backs to use your term, since they have already sold down which would see if you added that col. <g> just joshing with you.
