Joe, I meant to start a new sentence with "Middle East is much worse off" The Middle East has had numerous conflicts in my lifetime. There was a full scale war in 1966, many assasinations, the Israeli olympic team was murdered in 1972 by the Palestinians. The Iran-Iraq war, the Iraq-Kuwait war, the American Embassy taken over, etc., etc..... Your suggestion that the Middle East is much worse off doesn't seem to jibe with the facts. Clinton has done a very good job mediating, and I'm a little concerned that Bush will refer to Arafat as "The Diaperhead". Scumbria
