It is rumored that the Gore campaign has offered a compromise wherein they will agree to no further legal action if the Bush campaign will allow a hand recount in all of the State of Florida. I think Bush should accept this. If he does not, he will forever be suspect. If he has nothing to fear in the recount, why not let it proceed and settle the issue in the fairest way. I think the majority of the American people will feel, if he continues to fight a recount, that he does not believe he will win in a recount. The count is simply too close and a recount, that is absolutely accurate, is the only fair way to decide it. All but the most partisan Republicans I think will agree with this.
