Sector Takes COMDEX By Storm With TVCP Videophone, ...
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2000--Sector Communications, Inc. (Sector) (OTC BB:SECT) continued its foray into the high-tech job recruitment markets this week by exhibiting at COMDEX, the largest technology trade show (and the second largest convention) in the world.
Sector is currently exhibiting as Global Tech Expos (Global Tech) through its subsidiary corporation, Sector Development, Inc., and has had its COMDEX booth flooded by businesses desiring its unique combination of real-time videoconferencing and traditional market tools.
Initial response has been excellent, with Global Tech registering several prominent firms for its upcoming job expositions in Silicon Valley, Calif. Global Tech representative John Anderson said, "We have been inundated by companies with business in foreign countries, including Africa, India, Germany, that want to participate in our upcoming high-tech job expositions as exhibitors. Response to the newly announced joint venture with Talk Visual Corporation (OTC BB:TVCP) has been overwhelmingly positive, with key technology players asking for our contracts daily."
According to Anderson, "several prominent firms" pre-registered for Global Tech Expos' job recruitment events while at COMDEX, which continues through Friday. "We have already been approached to expand our joint venture with TVCP into Bombay and New Delhi, and can expect a record number of clients as we expand Global Tech's reach into Bulgaria, Israel, and the countries where Sector or TVCP have established business."
TVCP Chairman Michael Zwebner said, "High-tech job recruitment is a perfect application for the videoconferencing equipment Talk Visual provides; the cost of one flight for a company to interview a potential hire outweighs by several times the modest investment made in our equipment, or to appear at a Global Tech Expo, where prime exhibitor packages include a free videophone."
Sector recently signed a joint venture agreement for sale of Talk Visual's TV225 videophones; the agreement was orchestrated by Zwebner, who also serves as a member of Sector's Board of Directors.
