Gore campaign has muddied the situation so much that I can't figure out why there needs to be a hand recount anywhere. The machines were not faulty - at least in terms of mechanical problems or programming errors. So, the only rationale is that they undercounted or overcounted. GUESS WHAT, this happens all the time and has been the accepted practice till now. So, what's the problem this time ? GORE LOST! that is the problem and the need for a recount. Isn't that obvious ???
