Another AMAT downgrade:

Applied Materials AMAT Prudential (from) Strong Buy (to)Accumulate $65 (price target)

Maybe AMAT gives the Italian salute to the downgrades at this stage/price.

I heard some mumblings on CNBC about no 300 mm equipment shipped yet. Big deal, all the more gravy later, and AMAT is doing fine w/o it to this point. Intel, IBM and the rest of the boys are going to 300, no doubt in the world about that. They also mumbled some more about equip. pushouts. Again, BFD, that probably smooths things out, helps soften any possible downturn later.
