BAKER NEWS CONFERENCE GOING ON RIGHT NOW: He is such an idiot. He just said that he rejects a statewide recount because it would press up against the Dec. 18 deadline. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! What an idiot! Does he not realize that all the votes would be recounted SIMULTANEOUSLY? Why would it take any county more than 7-10 days? The answer is: it wouldn't if all started promptly. 2) He also said that Gore has asked for a number of recounts. In truth Gore has only asked for ONE recount...a manual one! The state of Florida DEMANDED the first recount, not Gore. Any candidate under Florida law has the RIGHT to ask for a manual recount. Is he saying iot is wrong to follow law or someone's rights under the law? Baker's spinning is juvenile, inaccurate and insulting to any American!
