Thanks, Julie. That explains much. Wm. Daley started as an "advisor" to his brother, Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago. He was never elected to any office by the people of the U.S. He "helped broker" the NAFTA agreement. Then Clinton appointed him the Commerce Secretary. Never elected by the people for any office! Wow! That says it all.
