i also think that there is a potential problem developing w.r.t. the fact that re-counts seem to be done exclusively in districts that are strongholds of one of the parties...if this is done at all, why not everywhere?
don't answer that...only the losers are complaining is why.

Hardly...The machine recounts in the optically read counties aren't producing the margin of error required for a hand recount by law. The are simply more reliable on both the voting and counting ends, reflecting voter intent and accuracy in recording respectively.

Yes, the Palm Beach voter competency test is very cute and misleading.

And 4th grades don't often suffer the kind of vision problems elderly voters may have.

democrats telemarketed the complaint campaign:

The move on the part of the Dems was brilliant. They landed the Marines and established a beach head before the Reps could finish scratching their bu...er, uh heads. They simply organized people who were already unhappy, who had complained at the polls (without redress,) were making complaints on their own the next day and locating those who weren't aware they had recourse. I expected nothing less.

my comment: a democrat designed the ballot - it was published for review well in advance - nobody complained then. case closed.

May not mean a thing in the end if the format was illegal. Agreement among parties to do something stupid (as well as possibly illegal) doesn't make it legal, correct or fair in the end.
