IMO, the dollar and the bonds are technical keys to the future of these markets in 2001. As the political climate cools these 'measures of international confidence' will become important. There's evidence the Europeans liked Clinton's centrist policies.

Gore is less of an unknown, but Bush will be a large question mark?
