Gotta say before this experience, I might have bought the popular vote thing, BUT now I'll be damned if I think we ought to let some west and east coast population centers rule over the rest of the whole nation..... Might have to re-invoke some states rights and talk of splitting into separate countries if we go to a popular vote. People in the midwest, west, southwest, and southeast are not like people in the North east, East coast, and west coasts. I think there a plenty big cultural, occupational, and socio economic differences. The electoral college best protects us from a whole RIFT of other problems we would have with a popular vote. The founding fathers were some wise guys IMHO. Truth
