Actually, I don't think that's true. According to the last poll statistics I posted, only about 80 percent of either party is willing to accept the results, whatever they might be. That still leaves upwards of 25 million people (50 million people divided by two) -- either Republican or Democrats -- who would consider either Bush or Gore as illegitimate.

And the longer this drags on, I suspect the more the 20 percent figure will rise.
