By Peter Rosenthal, BridgeNews
New York--Nov. 14--Heating oil futures in New York gained more than 3%
Tuesday as cold weather moving east across the U.S. boosted oil and
natural gas markets. Dec heating oil settled up 378 points, or 3.7%, at
$1.0541 per gallon.
Dec crude settled up 40 cents at $34.87 per barrel.

Dec Brent crude on London's IPE fell 24 cents to $32.70 ahead of
Wednesday's expiration. NYMEX Dec gasoline settled up 71 points at 89.23
cents a gallon.
Falling temperatures this week are expected to lead to increased
demand for heating fuels across the U.S. Natural gas futures surged above
$6.000 per MMBtu, a record for a nearby contract, as traders worried about
the availability of supply if the winter remains cold.
