Maybe I should change my handle to "Curmudgeon" or something similar. In my opinion, about 90% of those 700+ posts should never have appeared. All the political rhetoric just took up space and did little or nothing to inform anyone of what was happening in FL or elsewhere and even less to change anyone's mind. I happen to be the proud owner of a television set and a radio, too, and when I want news about the election, that's where I prefer to get it. Probably most of the rest who read this board also have TVs and radios and my guess is that they, too, have seen and heard news and prognostications galore from those media.
I live out in the sticks and pay a long distance fee for every minute I'm on the web but it's the waste of my time plowing through all the b.s. that disturbs me more. Until a couple of weeks ago I prided myself on reading every message posted on the porch--then I could no longer do that because of the time required. No, I didn't ever read every message but I did plow, 10 at a time, through them all until I couldn't do it in one sitting.
You kids (no, not you, Dealie in particular, but all of you are much younger than I) fight like, well, kids, and some seem to feel that their every thought is of utmost importance to all the rest of us. It isn't.
My plea is for a little more sanity and quite a lot less posting of material that has little importance today and none tomorrow.
