He will.. in fact .... *News just in Cnn.com Bush's lead slips below 300 Recount totals in Volusia County, Florida, have netted 102 votes for Democratic candidate Al Gore and cut GOP candidate George W. Bush's lead statewide to 286 votes, based on the most recent unofficial numbers reported by The Associated Press. The news came just a half-hour after a 5 p.m. vote certification deadline passed on a day full of legal action, most notably a judge's ruling that the deadline would stand but that the secretary of state should use "sound discretion" before rejecting any late returns
