R.Barbe - did you get a chance to listen to conference call ?? I did but this tax issue was not even discussed by the analyst on the call.
There hedging is terrible on the gas side that to me is more of a issue.Debt is 68.4 and capital leases?? 26.0 mil. So basically they have 95 million in debt.Forcasting 1.36cf/sh fully diluted for 2000.Compton production will start feb1/2001 at 750 bopd to magin. They claim the net asset value of mgy is 6-7/share.Compton is valued at 30-50 million to the company.
34 mil shares@2.50=85 mil+95 mil debt=180 mil value
180 mil / 8200 bopd = $21,950 per barrel production
add compton 1st qu 2001 so say 8200+750=8900bopd= $20,225 per barrel production.
Hard to see how this company can get any cheaper....but there certainly were the analyst on the call who could have moved this stock today if they were impressed by what they heard....
time will tell
