I find it interesting that her background and personal motivations are now being highlighted by the press. When 2 out of 3 democrats on the PMB election board voted for a recount of the entire county, otoh, not a word was said, nor is being said, about their background and motivations. Nor is much being said about the incongruity of continuing to troll votes for the democrats by whatever means are necessary, until they are in the lead.

I wonder what those voters in republican counties are thinking, as they see their brethren in democratic counties continuing to count votes, while their vote only counted once, and if they made a mistake, it was their own fault, not society's fault.

I suppose I am not that surprised. The asymmetry between democratic and republican values is not about the parties, it is about a mind-set. Suppose the republicans were behind by 2000 votes, and insisted on recounting in republican districts until they were only 200-300 votes behind, and kept on and on. What would the democrats say? Why, they would fill the streets of every city in the nation, crying foul, using all kind of attacks, I dare say even violence, to restore the will of the people. But democrats feel quite self-righteous in doing what they are doing, because they believe their will IS the will of the people.
