I really think that Winstar has carved a very unique position as a clec. 1) national footprint, 2)wireless & fiber option for last mile, 3) fiber backbone, 4) international operations, 5) full service for small & medium businesses (voice, broadband, asp, web hosting, business portal, fiber backbone), 6) unique marketing opportunity with option to offer some free services to get new customers and then they can name the add-ons required and term length. (e.g. free voice for 1 year with 3 year contract for broadband & asp ...) No other CLEC or RBOC can do it today. And time to market is becoming more important as competition starts to heat up.
