First review of the TREO Jukebox...it's a good one!

Treo, Successor to PJB100 is Released
by Ian McFarlane on Nov 14, 2000

The player announced was the Treo, by Hy-Tek. However, it will be sold in the US by Remote Solutions as the Cleo (also sellers of the Personal Jukebox). The player (I'm not sure which name to call it) is quite interesting and brings some new features to hard disk based players. A few of these include a full 5 band equalizer, SDMI support (ew!), support for MP3, WMA, AAC and ePAC formats, fully updateable firmware, multiple playlist storage and management, and ID3 tag support. Basically, it's a smaller version of the Personal Jukebox (which I absolutely love!) with a few extras like playing more formats, a much better equalizer, and playlist support. The icing in the cake is the $400 price tag. With 8 hours of battery life, this player is really going to give the Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox a run for it's money! They are planned for shipping in January 2001. Stay tuned for more information on this player and all the other players displayed at COMDEX.
