Forest Labs to replace Seagate in S&P 500. Date not announced.

www2.marketwatch.com

Seagate is being acquired by Veritas, with shareholder meetings scheduled for Tuesday November 21 to approve the acquisition. Would FRX inclusion likely be the next day, if shareholders approve the transaction? Or would VRTS set a date further out for the deal to close? Also, FRX already in S&P Midcap 400, so institutions will just move shares from one index fund to the other, creating less demand for FRX than for other S&P 500 inclusions.

Anyone have any insights on this? Thanks.
