I think you're wrong about the preferred being retired. I think it was converted into common shares as well as the dividend owing. It's the only way Kaiser could have gone to 55% equity interest I think. Would they buy shares at C$9.50 whilst they had an option to convert preferreds at C$1.10?

I agree, I don't think it has seen its highs. I'm looking for a thrifty entry point as there has to be some short term bad news doesn't there? Also, the stock is still not widely followed and you and I know more about it than most mining analysts. Let's wait for the CIBC buy rating to sell, finally.
