Bombardier Lands $130 Million Order for Electrical
Multiple Units in France

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--NOVEMBER 15, 2000 - 09:01 EST
The consortium comprised of Bombardier
Transportation and Alstom Transport has received a firm order from
the French National Railways (SNCF) for 72 TER 2N NG (New
Generation) electrical multiple unit trainsets, consisting of 30
two-car, 25 three-car, and 17 four-car units. Bombardier will
build 89 of these 203 vehicles as well as the 203 power bogies.
The firm order is valued at Cdn$520 million (415 million euros),
with Bombardier Transportation's share to be Cdn$130 million
(103.5 million euros). Deliveries are scheduled to take place
from October 2002 to October 2005.

The contract includes an option for 426 additional vehicles.
Should this option be exercised, Bombardier's share would reach
approximately Cdn$376 million (300 million euros).
