Bill-

I e-mailed IRI about the assertions in Mr. Hulbert's column in Forbes. In case you haven't had a chance to look at it, Hulbert claims that the overall return of the picks in the Option Advisor is an annualized 2.2% LOSS.

I asked for two things... a copy of an old newsletter so I could check it out, and a list of the year's average performance for each year going back to 1983... I mentioned that publishing a list of 100% or more gainers is nice, but doesn't give much insight into true performance... heck, I could pick, say, 5 options a week, and by the end of the year, I'm sure I'd have doubled my money on at least 10 of them. Maybe lost on the other 240 some <g>...

I got my trial subscription to Netpicks... I'll keep track of every rec. over the next 2 weeks (until trial runs out) and discuss them over on the Netpicks thread... my worry with Netpicks is how they will do when the market turns... it's been relatively easy to have such success in recent times as long as one sticks predominantly to calls... that's what I've done recently - bought CSCO and INTC calls even though the suckers are high... I'm tired of fighting the darned trend :-).

P.S. I didn't see any mail from you re: Raff channels... could be the e-mail address I have listed in my profile... try mfrederi@teir.com instead of mfredericks@teir.com...
