Today should be one of the most interesting parts of this spectacle. Once the hand count begins in Palm Beach the outcome will take on a sense of inevitability. James Baker will do his level best to stop it, but it's going to take an appearance from boy-George himself if he hopes to come up with any reason to stop the count without severe backlash. I personally think he will duck it, and after a few Baker press conferences the recount will begin and the Gore total will increase hour by hour. The next act will be Friday when they try again to stop the election with the final absentee ballot. TP
