This campaign is the main reason that a close election is not going to hurt a Gore Presidency much but would be disasterous to Bush Presidency. The non stop slander of Gore is now largely tuned out by the public, adding the charge of chad-chaser is not going to register. W however, is barely trusted with a letter opener and will be totally crippled by second guessers.
