They are not fool proof and in this case the results produced by these machines seem to be biased towards GWB, in democratic counties (vice versa in Republican counties). Texas clerk of elections (or whatever) has said that only reason to use machines is for SPEED. Accuracy, she said is always determined by hand count and this has been one of the reasons why GWB signed on for hand re-counting in Texas. >

Listen closely. A machine recount may have deficiencies. But errors will occur on both sides. This machine is neither Democrat nor Republican. It doesn't care that Bush won this election. Now, a subjective hand re-re-count in heavily democratic areas is, well, subjective. Do you understand this?
