Wrong. If we did away with the EC then the candidates would value every vote equally and NOT ignore any place like they all did this election concentrating ONLY on key battleground states ad nauseum. The entire south less Tenn and Fla. for instance was ignored this election. What about their issues? And when was the last time anyone campaigned in Kansas or Hawaii or Massachusetts. They are totally ignored. I'm friends with republicans in Massachusetts. They are always frustrated their votes do not matter. same with any Democrat in Utah or Alabama. Why can't their votes count? Why would ANYONE defend such a system?
