CONFLICT OF INTEREST? I'm uneasy about Gore having David Boies, the US's MSFT lawyer, representing Gore. Boies seems to have a built-in conflict of interest: The MSFT case is on-going, even though on appeal, and might be kicked back to Jackson for further evidence. Boies, the government's hired attorney, seems to have a big stake in the outcome of this election, both financially, and in prestige. If Gore is elected, the case will continue, likely fattening Boies's wallet and prestige. That isn't so clear if Bush is elected. The government might be more inclined to settle with MSFT.
