100cfm: as I recall, DoCoMo is paid a fee by the companies they select to be on I-mode. This is why the world's SP's are so interested - they would get paid from both ends if they can replicate the system.

Japan is a singular case IMO, in that the average person's (urchin?) access to 'the web' is through I-mode. That type of service will not fly in the US, were bandwidth concerns make GSM a non-starter.
