Re: Soliciting Electoral College Voters
. . . and I thought I just heard Al Gore the other day lecture us (what else does he do) on how important that the WILL OF THE PEOPLE be expressed in our election results.
Now, after more than a week of this BS, is the public, and the media, first coming to grips with the manipulative and shameful tactics conducted by the Gore Campaign in South Florida. The Democratic strategists are NOW beginning to conclude that their bid to overturn the election results in Florida in their favor will likely to fail when the matter comes before the Florida Supreme Court sometime next week.
As a result of this recent realization, it is apparent that the Democrats have begun to launch a "polling" of non-committed, but Republican-appointed, electoral voters across the county attempting to identify at least one electoral vote that will cross party lines and vote for Gore. Two votes to Al Gore will result in a tie & throw the matter to the House, but more than two such votes would throw the election, and the Presidency, to Gore should the votes in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa and other close margin states stand in favor of Gore.
It is a shame that a man such as Al Gore, who speaks of the paramount importance that the will of the people be heard, should condone such tactics, that if remotely successful, would surely divide this country sharply and create a non-legitimate presidency in the minds of THE MAJORITY of Americans.
Al, either way, in the minds of many, your political career is finished. |
