If you ever want to know if an ingredient can be substituted with something else let me know and I will try to help out.

mrs. guitar,

on the kool aid package it says to add one cup of sugar and two quarts of water. since i have sort of an aversion to drinking fluids that don't have bubbles, i was wondering if i could substitute two quarts of beer or ale for the water.

and what about that sugar? since the beer or ale has already had sugar added in the brewing process, could i just leave it out?

and now you've got me wondering if that kool aid powder is going to ruin the taste of things... what if i were to just substitute a cup of dry roasted peanuts (in a dish on the side) for the kool aid powder?

do you think this would turn out ok? has anyone in your family ever tried this?
