Hey Dave, check out the post below. They seem to think like I do, that we'll see a rate cut by early Jan 2001.

If Greenie were to cut rates, I think that would be the jolt we need to get this market back on firm footing. The fundamentals are still there for the optical internet buildout, not to mention the wireless internet buildout. So if he does, we should see these stocks start to rise steadily again.

As far as the money supply, you are indeed correct. This is critical. Will they start buying back the Treasuries? I hope so. We need a money supply injection to increase liquidity. But the backdrop is scary. Like you said, wage inflation is real and oil is high. However, I am a firm believer that wage inflation is occurring due to productivity gains, which lead to improved profits and companies' abilitiy to pay higher wages. So is it inflationary? Maybe, but maybe not.
