Aren't you bothered by the sequence of events here? About 6:45 PM Gore makes a call to resolve things. To abide by the counts. To seek in an unfettered way to get to the will of the people and to resolve the litigation. At 7:35 PM AP reports that Bush is rejecting this proposal. Hmmmm. Do you think he already knows from brother Jeb that Katherine Harris is going to kill things at 9:00PM?? 9:00 PM Katherine Harris rejects any hand counts. Now scheduled for 10:15 is George Bush to come on and claim victory. Looks top me like he knew the fix was in. This feels to me like the night that Nixon fired Archibald Cox. This is just plain wrong. Bush will be Commander in Cheat if he assumes Office under this cloud. He must accept Gore's proposal for the good of the country.
