all the blunders of the Republicans in getting their message across

Kodiak

Maybe in your next lecture, you could explain the Republican message to the benighted here. It might surprise you to learn that some of us have gotten the "Republican message" and find the "Republican message" repellent. The Republican party represents the interests of big business and big money in this country. Everybody else is secondary. Their first objective is and always has been upper-bracket tax cuts. That is not too inspirational even when there is personal benefit from it.
And then we have the "end of big government" theme. If that is true, how come Ronnie and George I quadrupled the national debt to 4 Trillion? Twelve years of penny-pinching Republicans jack up the national debt by 3 Trillion and then a wild-spending Democrat comes along and balances the budget and starts to reduce the crazy debt he inherited? That has to stick in Republican craws though I'm sure it was all due to Newtie's revolution.
What have these people ever done? The economy and the stock market has traditionally done better under Democrats. Republicans have usually presided over recessions and stock market crashes. Based on their miserable record, I can never understand how they have survived (and thrived) as a political force in this country.

We get it......it smells.
