I'm using a Dos tech analysis program. I also use QuotePlus EOD data to convert to the Metastock f.dat/dop format.

My challenge is I need a program that will look at an F.dat
file and determine what symbol it is.

The Dos analysis program takes me to the directories where the f.dat files are, (10,000 files), and I have to load an f.dat file to determine its symbol.

The only solution from Equis is to copy each of the 10,000 f.dat files in a separate directory and use Metastock to identify each symbol, (I should live so long).

Naturally opening an f.dat file shows only codes.
Is there some type of program that will convert f.dat files to symbols and be able to view via dos?

Thanks,

Dominick
