Dominick, FM Labs (http://www.fmlabs.com/) has a Technical Analysis Programmer's Toolkit Version 5.1. Check out the downloads section of their site for "DOS Samples". Play with the samples for a while - You may find something that will help you read a "Master" file in DOS. I think it's this file contains the symbol name info (mapping to F.dat files).
