Jim,

Taken over say 7,000 votes that's 4130-2590= 1540 more for Bush added to the already 300 lead he has gives a margin of 1840 votes. You think that will be enough to get Gore to throw in the towel?

I think he is under increasing pressure. Once the numbers start moving away from him, he will face some desertions, some calls from even Democrats to throw in the towel.

Here are my odds:
30% - Gore refuses to concede, loses in the courts, loses face and any possible return to politics in the process
10% - Gore refuses to concede, wins in the courts on hand count, still loses the election, loses face and any possible return to politics in the process
10% - Gore refuses to concede, wins in the courts on hand count, wins the election
50% - Gore concedes on Saturday, has a chance to come back in 2004

Did I forget any other possible outcome?

Joe
