DENVER, Oct. 26 — Vari-L Company, Inc. (OTC:VARLE), a leading provider of advanced components for the wireless telecommunications industry, today announced that it will be formally presented the Department of Defense (DOD) James S. Cogswell Award for Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement at the Company's facilities on October 31, 2000. DOD representatives David P. Hopkins and John J. Whitecotton will be on hand to make the presentation. Too bad they didn't use some of their security expertise in their accounting dept. Pat
