TWX-AOL May Miss Self-Imposed Merger Date,WSJ Says-Dulles,Va. AOL and TWX may not be able to close their merger by the self imposed deadline of Dec. 21,WSJ reported,citing a person close to TWX.FTC demands the two sign a cable access accord with a rival ISP provider raise possibility of further delays and give opponents of the agreement time to devise new oppositions.FTC last week delayed vote until Nov. 30, to give companies more time to come up with an IS proposal.FTC is likely to be in position to take vote on merger by that date.Signs are emerging of DIFFERENCES on strategy between TWX,AOL on their approach to regulators.TWX wanted to force FTC vote last week, while AOL did NOT want to risk it blocking merger.........
